FEATURES

This is one of my favorite quotes, written by Maya Angelou, and it reminds us that we are all more alike than we are different. I've realized that many of my favorite experiences, memories, personal qualities, and lessons have stemmed from this idea of connection and understanding others.

I grew up loving and playing sports, which is the first exposure to teamwork for a lot of kids. I also love being active outside and connecting with nature and our environment. I was heavily involved with music and developed my appreciation for sound and auditory communication. Connection through movement came from my practice of martial arts from an early age and this continued as I got more involved with dance in college. Learning new languages and traveling abroad made me appreciate the ability to connect with people that I don't share similar backgrounds with. All of these things lead back to my larger purpose of finding and strengthening connections with others.
